लहानपणीपासून देव्हार्यात देवी म्हणून पुजलेल्या आणी सणा -वारी कथा कहाण्यान मधुन थोरवी ऐकलेल्या रेणुका माते ची/ अंबेची एक हृदयस्पर्शी,काल्पनिक पण अत्यंत तर्कसंगत वाटणारी आणी मनाला पटणारी कथा।भारतातील विभिन्न प्रान्तात अनेकानेक नावानि ओळखली जाणारि आणी अगदी दूर दक्षिणेत येल्लम्मा/रेनुकम्मा नावानी पुजली जाणारि रेणुका इथे एका सम्पुर्ण नवीन दृष्टिकोणातून अनूभवायला मिळते।एका सामान्य स्त्री ची देवत्वा पर्यंत ची वाट्चाल।भाबडेपणानि वाघाच्या छाव्याला वाचवणारी,क्षणात राजवैभव त्यागून विद्वान आणी चरित्रवान जमदग्नीला वरणारी ,आत्मीयतेने रोगीन् च्या सूश्रूषे साठि झटणारि ,पती विरहाचा वज्राघात सहन करुनही क्षत्रिय गरोदर स्त्रियांचे परशुरामाच्या क्रोधापासून रक्षण करणारी ही एकवीरा माझ्या मनात आपलस असं एक स्थान निर्माण करून गेली।

पहिल्या पानापासून हे पुस्तक आपल्याला गुंतून टाकते. रेणुकेच्या अद्भुत प्रवासात आपण अनेक भावना अनुभवतो. तीच्यासमवेत प्रवास करताना एका सुंदर कथेत रममाण होऊन जातो. सहज लेखनशैली, शब्दांचा अतिशय समर्पक वापर आणि अतिशय सुंदर कथा लेखन हे ह्या पुस्तकाची खासियत. अनिताजी तुम्ही आम्हाला इतकी छान साहित्यिक भेट दिलीत त्याबद्दल धन्यवाद!

A divine reading experience!
The book Renuka - ek parikrama is a timeless journey into the realms of ancient civilization of India. While it's primarily a fictional account of the life of princess Renuka; parallely, it also gives a fascinating insight into the wealth of ancient knowledge and scientific aspects of vedic rituals and practises. Narration is gripping and the story is brilliantly told. While reading, a reader would forget that this is a fiction and would feel that this is exactly how things would have unfolded millennia ago. Author's Renuka would appeal to readers as a fearless, righteous, loving caricature of feminine might. Reading the book in Marathi was a bonus for me as I have always heard about the legend of Renuka from my grandparebts. It was a beautiful trip down the memory lane. This is a book that will surely infuse pride and positivity in a reader. Not to be missed!

Renuka : Ek Parikrama- Renuka; a princess born in the renowned family of Ikhswaku; was brought up like other royal princesses, who soon became known for her valour and wisdom. Though a fiction, the story talks about Indian Values and Traditions and takes you to journey of Central India.
The story of a princess who turned down matrimony offers of several valiant Kings and married Rishi Jamdagni , who was known for his knowledge and wisdom.
The marathi version of the book made me reminisce the stories told by my grandfather and took me down the memory lane. A book that should not be missed. A MUST READ for all.
