Why it is a prerequisite in marriages for the man to be older than the woman?
Are there really any complications if a guy falls in love with a girl older than him? Is it wrong if a woman falls in love with a man younger than her?
Or is it just norms of society and culture that stands in their way? Don't they have the right to fall for their Mr. or Ms. Right?
Meet Vishal Krishna age 23 and Meera Ambattu age 30 of the 'Journey to the Altar’ and see if they bring out the hidden prejudices within you.
Journey to the Altar is not just a romantic story, but also an eye opener on the reality of the many prejudices that goes on in many orthodox families like class or age differences. Many women are made to choose between marriage and a career, and when deciding to get married, traditional beliefs expect the woman to be younger (not older) than the man, but why does it always have to be this way? This book perfectly includes these and more issues while at the same time keeping the reader entertained throughout with such a unique and relatable story. I 100% recommend this book.
I really loved the portrayal of the main couple. Lots of books and movies have dealt with star crossed lovers but this book manages to do so in a refreshing way, while etching out so many well written characters. Give it a read!
Great storyline with a social moral
I liked Vishal and Meera. They are very relatable. Every other characters do justice to the story which slowly moves from the social dogmas of the orthodox society towards love and a happy ending. The story keeps you glued all the time until you finish. I am waiting for next one from the author now. Good work Adhiti.
