The Indian Listener was started in December 1935, which became Akashvani in January, 1958 in India. Besides the program, the magazine had essays on music, biographies and photos of artists, reports about musical conferences etc. This is a book of images captured from the magazine. It contains photos of hundreds of radio artists, some well-known, some long-forgotten. In this first part, there are about 700 images with names from A to L.

About the Author

Aftab Shahrukh Datta was born in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1976. He works for the US Department of Education as an Investment Portfolio Manager.
He currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife, Yulia, his two daughters, Yasmin and Anika, and beloved dog, Akira.
