An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad, it was while working with a leading commercial bank that Ajay Mohan Jain was inspired to take up writing.

He has been writing regularly - mostly on topics of general interest - for various newspapers and periodicals. He has more than five bestselling full-length works to his credit including - ‘Nothing can be as Crazy…’ and ‘Nothing can be as Crafty…’ in English published by Rupa Publications and ‘Ek Banker Ki Romanchkari Kahani’ and ‘Ek Romanchk Kahani Koranakal Ki’ in Hindi published by Prabhat Prakshan.
He has also contributed a story to anthology on Kanpur stories ‘Nothing is forgotten’.

Of late, he has become very passionate about social causes and has produced various short video films spreading social awareness. Recently, a short social message video film 'Just Think ज़रा सोचिए’ made by him has been awarded Certificate Of Excellence and adopted by Ministry Of Urban Development GOI for promoting Swachh Bharat message on their social media pages.
