Romy and Arish, a South African Indian couple, lead a happy life as husband and wife, but cracks begin to appear when Arish undergoes a complete personality transformation, later revealed to be Dissociative Identity Disorder. It is only when Romy undergoes hypnotherapy to help her cope with the post-traumatic stress caused by her kidnap and rape by a human trafficking ring while a student at the Sorbonne in Paris 17 years previous that she discovers that her rapist could be Arish, her husband.
