Tech industry exec by day, author by night, Amit Ray writes historical fiction for kids. He sees himself as a Dan Brown for kids, though nobody else does. Least of all, Dan Brown.

He has almost twenty years of corporate experience, none of which is of any use in his writing. But he did manage to stay employed long enough to earn a salary that allowed him to travel extensively to historical sites all over the world. That knowledge and experience has been invaluable in his work.

Amit lives in Singapore and is married with a ten-year-old son who inspired his writing and immediately regretted it when he read the manuscript.

In a less-than-illustrious writing career, Amit has failed to win the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award or the L.A. Times Book Award. Not even a Nobel.

Amit is surprised. Perhaps he's ahead of his time.
