Anil K Arora writes at the meeting point of devotion and daily life, where kitchens become sanctuaries and light learns to be useful. An agriculture professional by training and a storyteller by vocation, he serves as Deputy Manager, Product Development at Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd., after earlier work as an Extension Officer in horticulture. With a master’s degree in entomology and years of field learning across Kashmir—from Pattan to Pulwama—he brings a patient eye for detail and a reverence for the seen and the unseen. Under the pen name Anil K Arora, he crafts novels and contemplative prose shaped by Hindi and English literary traditions, Indian village textures, and a love for poetry, ghazals, and Sufi parable. His recent projects include The Shimla Deception (a thriller set in the hills) and a cycle of spiritual-lyrical narratives exploring light, shadow, and remembrance. When not writing, he studies calligraphy as moving meditation, walks Kashmir’s and Delhi’s dawns, experiments with book design for 5×8 print, and helps other writers shape submission-ready manuscripts. He believes in small, steady work: lower the flame, keep the room bright.
