Short Description
Short poem collection as written in private messages with a friend, as I imagined how we would behave in one another's company. Explores themes of friendship, vulnerability, submission, and gender identity transformation.
How This Came To Be
These poems were written in October 2024, in Messenger DM with my friend J.
I've known her for years, and we know a lot of details of each other's personal lives. When the subject in these poems came up, we texted for a few days, but the interface and nature of texting limits the depth of what we could share, so I decided to write a series of poems around meeting and encountering one another, and how we would act in one another's presence.
Content and Themes
No sexual acts are described, or even implied, as J. did not want that, and I respect her choice even within the fiction I wrote for her. There is some sexual tension, or rather, an awareness of sensuality. We also explore themes of domination and submission, but without the physicality. Mostly, though, it's about friendship and making a safe space for one another.
Why I made the book
I am making this book primarily so I can send her a physical copy to put on her bookshelves. If you buy this collection (thank you!) please let me know how you liked it.
