MY STORY is inspired by the bedtime conversations the author had with her son, who is portrayed as the storyteller. The little boy describes his family by following his mom's journey across the world. It is the story of a 21st-century multicultural immigrant family and one of perseverance and learning.
The author and her husband come from modest families but both have Ph. Ds and have traveled and lived in different countries and continents in their pursuit of higher studies. They met during that journey and made a life together in the USA.
