When Zoya Mansour, a poor Palestinian girl living with her grandmother at a construction site in Eilat, and Jacob Aaron, the respected captain of the High School football team, find themselves working together on an assignment set by their teacher, they realise, much to their surprise, that they aren't very different after all! As their unlikely friendship grows, so does their understanding of each other's lifestyle and culture.
Just when life seems more wholesome and enjoyable than ever before, a series of events forces the youngsters into setting out for a dark and dangerous journey. Will Jacob and Zoya be able to face the hostile world around them, one so different from their own little world of make belief?
