We love some people so obsessively that every step we take, every breath we breathe, every blink of our eyes, and every thought in our mind leads us back to them. They become our reference point. They become our Index.
To the world, it looks like madness. But to the one living it, it is love — obsessive, unconditional love. Only the person who carries it understands its depth. Only the person who lives it knows the pain it brings.
Some people carve our lives deeply, even without truly existing in them. They shape our thoughts, our emotions, and the way we look at the world — silently, permanently.
In a generation where love is often reduced to dating, convenience, or casual connections, this story is my attempt to remind that a different kind of love still exists. A love that is sacred. A love that is obsessive, selfless, and enduring.
Making someone our Index may not give us them. But it changes us forever. It changes how we observe life, how we understand pain, and how we learn to love without possession.
I hope this story reaches at least a few hearts — and helps them recognise that love, in its purest form, is still alive.
