All people ardently desire that they must eat properly to survive, their children to grow
normally and adults to keep physical and mentally healthy & strong. But food can do more than
just satisfy physiological hunger and carry physiological and social values. Nutrition and diet are
not synonymous, though they are popularly used so by people. Diet consists of various articles of
food, which are ingested and converted for use in the body for building up and maintaining it as a
vital need. Nutrition is the end results of the dietary process by which these are assimilated and
produce the desired results man’s physical development and growth, his capacity and fitness to
work can be considerably improved by means of better ethnic groups present interesting different

• Men don’t eat food like simple animals. Human food needs proper choicing, processing
and preparation as per culture.
