About the Author

Awadhesh Kumar Nema, born on March 22, 1961, in Jabalpur, holds an M.Tech in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from IIT Kharagpur (1984) and received specialized training in Watershed Management from Queensland, Australia (2000).
He began his career as an Assistant Professor at Agricultural University, Jabalpur and later has served in various executive roles in the Agriculture Department of Madhya Pradesh. With rich experience in teaching, research, and extension, he has made notable contributions in Soil and Water Management. His work has earned him several honors, including the Rastriya Gaurav Award (2011), CM Excellence Award in IT (2013), and Lok Seva Prabandhan Award (2014). A prolific writer, his publications on Soil and Water Management and Sustainable Agriculture are well-received by farmers and officials alike. He is also a respected guest faculty at various state-level institutes, known for simplifying complex topics.
