The Buddha was a walker.
He walked back and forth across India enjoying such contentment that when kings or queens would offer him rides on fancy carts, he would politely decline.
Ben, inspired by these ancient stories, set out to try the same thing today: let's follow Buddha's footsteps on a map, cross the country with a begging bowl instead of money, and aim at Bodhgaya, the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in the world in which he reached enlightenment 2'500 years ago.
And more importantly, let's take along Buddha's direct teachings - named sutras - and inspect them, dissect them, digest them, breathe them in and out, walk them day and night, and see if we can peek at the ultimate happiness that transcends place and time.
