THE APPLICANT
At fifty, Raghu is a man caught between the enabling comfort of his past and the terrifying silence of his future. Seeking to escape a midlife crisis, he takes an entry-level BPO job, only to find himself trapped in a world of "human cyborgs," controlled bio-breaks, and a desperate, unrequited crush on his young team leader, Damini.

What begins as a quest for validation spirals into a raw encounter with rock bottom. From the public humiliation of being forced to cluck like a hen on the office floor to a harrowing HIV scare, Raghu is forced to strip away his protective layers of delusion.

"The Applicant" is a darkly comic and deeply moving exploration of addiction, the "ignorance of how to live," and the hard-won realization that the highest career path one can take is the pursuit of inner peace.
