Description

Is Renko-ji truly the repository of the ashes of Subhas Chandra Bose, the iconic and enigmatic Indian freedom fighter who vanished at the end of World War II? Or was he rescued from the air crash, traded to Moscow, and kept as ransom in a Soviet plan to control and coerce Nehru and India? This book charts the likely journey of Bose through Moscow to Vienna, where he lived in cosy anonymity. In this rollicking yarn, Karl Soares brings these possibilities to life, reawakening speculation that has endured for 75 years.

About the Author

Capt. Karl Soares has spent an inordinate amount of time voyaging in the footsteps of his childhood heroes — the intrepid explorers who contributed so much to world maps in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. His explorations have taken him to places that have given him a realistic insight to narratives from those periods. He has now been ashore for 25 years, pursuing his intense love of history and travelling between Europe, India, and Australia, where he currently resides.
