Description

This book describes the identity of Lai people settled in Manipur as Tai ethnic. The story is based on evidence such as written scriptures, records, and present practice of cultural elements. There must be more Lai people in Manipur but the present study focuses on two villages as a case study due to lack of research resources. It is hoped that scholars could find those Lai communities that settled once upon a time in Manipur but presently perceived as a vanished group of people.
