Charles Granville Bruce, one of the pioneers of mountaineering in the Himalayas, narrates the climbing expedition he and his team made to Kulu and Lahoul during the summer of 1912. In addition to being an account of the three months’ climbing journeys, the book also gives some insight into the native life and includes a chapter on local history and folklore by one of the team members.
This is a reformatted edition of the 1914 original. In this we have brought some additional material in the form of author's diary of the expedition narrated in the book. All the illustrations and maps are there and the content except some minor corrections is as it was in the original.
