Christine van Draanen was born in The Netherlands and started her working life as a stewardess with KLM Airlines. After flying all over the world for almost a decade she began her eurythmy training in The Hague with Werner Barfod. She worked in several Waldorfschools. After she finished her curative eurythmy training in Peredur, England, she had her own practice. And combined this with working in an institution. Many clients were dependant of a wheelchair and therefore a special group was integrated to do eurythmy while sitting in a wheelchair. This meant not only doing the sounds (often with one arm) but it entailed walking/ driving different forms such as the pentagram and the sevenstar.

In 2012 Christine started to do what had always been in the back of her mind: the developing of eurythmy therapy for animals. Nowadays workshops are given during conferences at the Goetheanum in Dornach - Switzerland, and seminars for interested eurymists and veterinarians who want to learn how to work with animals.
