(BSNL), as Member Telecom Commission and ex-officio Secretary to Govt. of India and Member, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), thus having the unique distinction of being an operator, a policy maker, and a regulator.

Reminiscences by Dr DPS Seth.

Very well written and expressive. He certainly had a privileged childhood. Unfortunately more than normal health issues inspite of which he gave his best to contribute to development in various wings of the Department of Telecommunications. Brings out trials and tribulations of a straight forward Telecom Bureaucrat during the liberalisation of the Telecom Sector. He certainly deserved the Padma Bhushan. A must read.

An extraordinary journey

"Reminiscences" by DPS Seth offers an engaging glimpse of his life's journey to date. As the few pioneers responsible for shaping the telecommunications industry in India, Reminiscences captures the author's path from a grassroots level to the helm of the mammoth organization - a part of the Government of India. Dr. Seth describes in interesting detail how he transformed his challenges into opportunities. And all this despite his physical handicap due to a major automobile accident in Waterloo, Canada, while he was a doctoral student there.
The book will be invigorating, possibly transformative to all readers, especially those who are at the beginning of their professional journey. It will be a compelling read for those with a passion for, or interest in, the world of telecommunications. I highly recommend it.
