The story revolves around a Roman Senator, Marcus Atticus, nicknamed The Noble, who wanted peace in his life by obtaining power. His quest for power and his daily sufferings through lust, takes tragic twists in his life when he goes to the extent of losing his senses and his virgin wife.
The plot then turns upside down when he finally realizes his faults and goes in search of what he has lost in his quest for "peace".
Every man and woman born into this Earth will have a story to tell of a time of suffering they underwent. Human life is all about suffering. Suffering to find out what really stays permanent in a temporary life.
The passion we have towards the pleasures of this world, be it towards gold, silver, land, power or the flesh will be nothing but something that will rot if left unattended for some days.
What pleasure do we find in holding on to the passions of the body that will one day be eaten by the soil?
