About the Author

Derick A. Mendonca is a British board certified Plastic Surgeon. He completed his Plastic Surgery Residency training at Birmingham, England and an advanced Paediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, United States. Derick then relocated with his family to Bangalore, South India to start a new department of Paediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery for the region.

Derick has more than 40 original scientific publications and is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association (ACPA).

Derick currently lives in Cambridge, England with his wife and three children.
