The main part of Mahabharata is retold briefly as it would be if it was history. Hence, some parts had to be reconstructed. It avoids the miracles as history has no place for them. Many of the side stories that had been interpolated in to the main Mahabharata from time to time by numerous authors (after all Mahabharata is an encyclopedia and all the authors of ancient India wanted their work to be included in it) have been omitted from the main part. Some important side stories that carried meaningful moral lesson have been included separately. Here miracles do occur as fables without miracles are not interesting. At he end of each story, author's comment is inserted.
