The story revolves around a typical, upper-middle-class Indian couple and their reactions to childlessness.
It takes an interesting turn when Malini, the wife, refuses to accept this as the 'will of God'. She, a woman from a traditional, conservative Indian family and of mediocre merit, does not allow her destiny to takes its own course. Much against the wish of her husband, she resolutely takes hold of her own fate and steers it in her favor.
To achieve this end, she contravenes a number of social norms. But, with her razor sharp native intelligence and manipulative skills, she justifies these contraventions, so much so that she wins over her ex-High Court Judge, father-in-law completely to her side.
Malini’s intelligence and manipulative skills do not, however, save her from paying a heavy price for her stubbornness. What started as a happy married life with Arjun, her all-pervasive desire for a baby, soon erected a barbed wire fence between their relationship.
Will she be able to overcome this last hurdle, to achieve total success…? Read on to know more.
