Being a girl is complicated. Trust me, I know. Over the last five years, I have struggled, I have thrived, I have laughed, and I have cried, but above all, I have learnt.

What I experienced through my teenage years will stay with me forever. It has shaped me into the individual I am today. Struggling with body image issues and coping with the plethora of imposed physical changes in an era of social media dominance is not an easy task. Still, I’ve come out stronger with the knowledge that will guide me through every walk of life.

This comic book acts as a means through which I can dispense the lessons I’ve learnt through a myriad of experiences to young girls out there, just like confused 10-year-old me. I wrote this comic with the hopes that it will help someone out there navigate through the convoluted problems teenage girls in the 21st century face.
