One ordinary afternoon turns epic when Sam and his friends meet Radha's grandmother who just happens to know a story that can bend time.
Her tale begins in ancient India and hurtles east, chasing a missing princess across oceans of "milky water," through fiery seas, past golden mountains, and into hidden valleys where the sun first wakes the world. There are monsters, wonders, and dangers at every turn... until the kids make a jaw-dropping discovery; these places aren't just legend. They're real, and they're right there on today's map!
From storm-lashed seas to snow-capped peaks, friendly faces to fierce tribes, the friends uncover a world far older, and way stranger, than anything in their schoolbooks.
The East Quest is only the beginning. The West, North, and South are still out there, waiting to be found...
A must read
I just finished reading "The Secret Atlas "by Author Dr Anita Gupte, and i am still reeling from the experience!
I love the way grandma narrates the tale of our ancient history and how meera gave a real world visualisation to grandma's narrations and " helped the children to connect ancient names with morden map ". Its a perfect blend of our history to the morden world.I have grown up listening to the tales of The Ramayan, The Ram and The Ravan but never knew the Ramayan through sughreev's perspective. The Author Anita has beautifully weaved the themes of power, knowledge and discovery .The book left me mesmerised and as if i was one of the kids sitting in living room of Radha’s home listening to the story and if i could ask Barbara to cancel her trip to snowy mountains so we could continue the grandma's stroy. From the book:
They are not just stroies"This is our history"Not only India's history,The history of the ancient world."
Thank u author Dr Anita Gupte for amazing book
