In the 15th Century, under the Suryavamsi Gajapati Kings, the Odia empire stretched from the Ganges in the North to the Kaveri in the
South. It was a time when the war elephants of Kalinga thundered across the subcontinent, and the flag of Jagannath flew over 60% of
India’s eastern coast.
This saga is an attempt to fill that blank space.
It is the story of three men: Kapilendra Deva, the commoner who seized a crown; Hamvira Deva, the warrior who conquered a
subcontinent but lost his home; and Purushottama Deva, the poet who had to become a monster to save his kingdom.
