Dr. Krishna Kant Sharma was post graduated and achieved his PhD from Patna University in Labour and Social Welfare. Previously, he had completed a Master’s of Science in Chemistry. He worked as a consultant under the National Rural Health Mission and came to know about the practices and requirements of the Public Health sector in India.
He was good in studies and was successful in the National Rural Talent Search Examination leading to a scholarship from the Government of India during 1977-1981. He also received doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). He taught PG students at the Patna University during doctoral and postdoctoral terms for more than five years. He successfully completed two research projects of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Towards side readings, he studied various books on Indian Philosophy, Vedic Literatures, Astronomy, Environmental Chemistry, and many other subjects. He received training in Research Methodology in Social Sciences, Health Research Fundamentals, Bio statics & Design of Experiments, Global Navigation System & Geographical Information Systems from premier institutes in India.
He edited the Indian Journal of Applied & Clinical Sociology and the Indian Journal of Management & Economics. In addition to this book his other books are Public Health Administration in Bihar, Public Health Human Resources Management (PH2RM), and National Health Mission– Execution & Achievements.
