The course for Neurophysiology is rather vast and exciting yet challenging both for the students to get a grip of it as well as for the teachers to impart accurate knowledge. The procurement of basic information related to neural circuits and their functions is essential for building a career related to neurophysiology and also important for students to develop the ability to understand and solve practical along with real-life problems related to neurophysiology. It is quite challenging for teachers and authors to provide students with adequate and crucial information associated with neurophysiology. Neurophysiology is a study focussing on the functions of the human nervous system. It is a division of physiology and neuroscience. This is an ancient study which had originated as early as 4000BC. The word is derived from the Greek word νεῦρον meaning "nerve" and -λογία meaning "knowledge". This field explores the different levels of the nervous system; the central and peripheral nervous systems, the neural circuits, and the regulation at different levels of organization.
