Microeconomics is the branch of economics that deals
with the behavior and decision-making of individual
units, such as consumers, firms, and industries. The word
"micro" comes from the Greek word mikros, meaning
"small". Microeconomics studies how these individual
units make choices based on limited resources and how
their decisions affect the supply and demand for goods
and services.
