DR. SUBHASISH KARAK
Subhasish Karak is a Ph.D. awardee of Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata & UGC NET qualified.
He was the topper in the MLISc and holds degrees like MBA and PGDCA. Presently, he has been
working at Panchmura Mahavidyalaya as a librarian (Gr. A). Dr. Subhasish Karak had earlier
served for almost 13 years at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (Govt. of India) Barpeta, Assam;
Kendriya Vidyalaya (Govt. of India) Masrakh, Bihar; and Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Kalaikunda,
WB. He was also selected as a graduate apprentice at LPSC, ISRO, Trivandrum. He officiated as
I/C Principal at KV Masrakh for a brief period. While he was serving at KV, he was the State
General Secretary of the All India Kendriya Vidyalaya Teachers’ Association. He was associated
with SKB University and NSOU as a guest faculty/academic counsellor, and he is presently
enlisted as a guide for dissertations. He is a member of the UG Board of Studies, Bankura
University. Throughout his long professional career, he has been dedicated to the profession and
the subject of Library and Information Science.
