Dr Tapan Kumar Pradhan won Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature Golden Jubilee Prize in 2007 for his poem collection “Kalahandi”. His other major works include “Wind in the Afternoon”, “Dance of Shiva” and “The Buddha Smiled” which won prize at All India Poetry Competition.
Dr Tapan was born in 1972 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has won multiple awards for his poems, stories and essays in English, Odia and Hindi. He has worked as Additional Secretary, Finance with Government of Odisha and as Deputy General Manager with Reserve Bank of India. He has also served as Director on the Boards of several banks.
