Description

The proposed book for publishing as E-Book is Biography of Digavalli Thimmaraju Pantulu (1794-1856). He worked in the then Rajahmundry District during British East India Company starting as Engliish Record keeper in the year 1811 and retired as Huzur Seristhadar and also as Court of Wards Manager for Pithapuram Estate. The famous Bhimeswa swamy temple at Kakinada was got constructed by him in 1828. His official works and reports were published in Godavari District Manual. Besides his personal life, a lot of historical facts and figures of the then Rajahmundry District , Administrative machinery of the Company rule were included in this book. Thus this book is a Historical Biography.

Author No1. Digavalli Venkata Sivarao:
Born at Kakinada on14/02/1898. He was a well known lawyer and writer of Vijayawada, A.P . He was a prolific writer. He authored about 60 books and more than 350 historical papers. He specialized in British India period. His 45 books were published. 300 essays authored by him were published in popular news papers and magazines. Of his several books which were published; kathalu-gathalu in 4 parts (1940-1944) were very popular and were reprinted/republished 3 times. Kathalu-Gadhalu part 5 was published in 2019. Part 6 is pernding with Navachetana Publishing House. His other famous book Yenugula Veeraswamayya gari Kasi Yathra Charithra was published in 1941 and reprinted in 1991. His English-Telugu Dictionary (Vyavahara kosam) was published in 1934 and reprinted in 1988. His book Africa Jathiyodyamamu was released by the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
