Author No1. Digavalli Venkata Sivarao:
Born at Kakinada on14/02/1898. He was a well known lawyer and writer of Vijayawada, A.P . He was a prolific writer. He authored about 60 books and more than 350 historical papers. He specialized in British India period. His 45 books were published. 300 essays authored by him were published in popular news papers and magazines. Of his several books which were published; kathalu-gathalu in 4 parts (1940-1944) were very popular and were reprinted/republished 3 times. Kathalu-Gadhalu part 5 was published in 2019. Part 6 is pernding with Navachetana Publishing House. His other famous book Yenugula Veeraswamayya gari Kasi Yathra Charithra was published in 1941 and reprinted in 1991. His English-Telugu Dictionary (Vyavahara kosam) was published in 1934 and reprinted in 1988. His book Africa Jathiyodyamamu was released by the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. His books were reviewed by well known writers of A.P in many popular news papers. His Book Sanyasula Swathanthra Samaramulu( 1958) was reviewed by Mallampalli Somasekhara Sarma. He also helped to published one of the works of Veluri Sivarama Sastry, namely Ekavali in the year 1940. He was honoured by the Govt of A.P in 1966. He was also honoured by History Congress of A.P. He played very important role during freedom movement (during 1930s). He was publicity in-charge of Congress Committee of West Krishna District. The books authored by him during the Freedom movement were proscribed by the then British Government. Twice sedition cases were brought against him in 1931 and 1933 but these were fizzled out. As a lawyer he represented N.G Ranga, a well known freedom fighter during 1930s in the sedition case . He was a member of the Govt constituted Glossary Committee and Chairman of its Sub Committe at Vijayawada. A few research scholars of the bygone era like Y.Vithal Rao, Kothappalli VeeraBhadra rao, Akkiraju Ramapathi Rao sought his works and guidance for earning their Ph.Ds. Well known history writer Bangore was his staunch follower. His profile was well documented in Wikipedia (Telugu and English) and also Wiki Open Library. As many ten books authored by him are in the Bharath Digital Library the list of it is can be verified in Wikipedia (Telugu) He died in his 94th year on 03/10/1992 at Bhopal. Some of his published essays such as ఇంగ్లీషు చదువుల చరిత్ర, , ఆంధ్రుల చరిత్రలో వెలుగు చూడని ఘట్టమువు etc. have been reprinted in the Online Magazine -Eemaata (ఈమాట)
Author No2: Dr. Digavalli Ramachandra ( 1943Born) is an Agricultual Scientist by qualification. M.Sc(IARI)., Ph.D in Agronomy. He worked in Bank of India and retired as AGM. Based on his fathe’s(Author No.1) notes and MSS has published as many as 51 essays in Wikipedia (Telugu) and also published his father’s (Author No.1) Kathalu-Gadhalu Part 5 . Navachetana Book House, Hyderabad. Part 6 is pending with them for publication.
