R. V. Sreenivasa Murthy, was an author in the Kannada language. He used the pen-name Ra. Vem. Sri. His novels and dramas in Kannada became popular during 1950-70. He was also an UNESCO expert in the field of literature for neo-literates. He was the editor of the Kannada newspaper called 'Belaku' which was published by the Adult Education Council (AEC), Mysuru. After taking voluntary retirement from AEC, he established the printing press -- Sri Shakthi Electric Press, in Mysuru, India. Many authors of repute in the Kannada language and publishers were associated with Sri Shakthi Electric Press. Ra. Vem. Sri. also started the publication unit known as Mohana Prakashana. Under the banner of Mohana Prakashana he had published several works of famous authors. Ra. Vem. Sri. also started publishing a family magazine called 'Nirmala' which became popular during the mid 1960s. Unfortunately the magazine had to stopped due to financial constraints after running for 13 months.
