Description

This Book titled “An Anthology of The Ramayana--The Story of Lord Ram From Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagwata & Kalidas’ Raghuvansham, Along with the stories of His immediate Ancestors and Descendants” is a comprehensive narration of this epic story of Lord Ram citing in full the three classical authentic texts referred above.
This Book presents to the world the famous story of the Ramayana, describing the life and time of Lord Ram, from three classical Sanskrit texts, bringing them under one cover. This author feels that such a Book has never been done earlier, and therefore it would stand out as one-of-its-kind in the annals of great classical literature of India with an element of religion injected into it as it deals with the theme of the Ramayana, the revered and ageless Book that describes the life and time of Lord Ram.
Our Book consists of the original Sanskrit text, Roman Transliteration, and a verse-by-verse detailed English narration which is accompanied by extensive explanations of each of the verses in simple, easy-to-understand English so that even a layman can grasp the meaning and thoroughly enjoy the reading without having to strain himself to come to grips regarding what is being said.
As such, this Book is a seminal work on the theme of the Ramayana inasmuch as it brings under one cover three classical texts that describe the epic story of the life and time of Lord Ram, thereby enabling the world, the ordinary reader as well as connoisseurs of classical literature, to read them at one place instead of from three independent books such as the Mahabharat, Srimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, and Kalidas’ renowned classic ‘Raghuvansham’.
