About the Authors

Amit Bhatnagar is Senior Principal Surveyor & Vice President at Indian Register of Shipping. He has distinction of serving as Chairman of two branches of Institute Marine Engineers (India) He also holds the distinction of being founder and convener of two four yearly International Exhibition and Conferences, Global Maritime Seminar (GLOMARS) and International Shipping Conference (ISCO).
He has served on Marine Engineering Division Board of Institution of Engineers (India) and has been recognised for his services to maritime fraternity by various organisations. Institution of Engineers (I) presented him with Eminent Marine Engineer Award” in 2014. In addition to other felicitations, he has also been conferred with Vijay Rattan Gold Medal, Indian Business Excellence Award and Star of Asia Award. He has also served on Board of Studies at universities.
In addition to this book, many of his technical papers have been published in various International Journals.
