But unfortunately, many Punjabi readers, who deeply love poetry, remain unaware of the world of Majaz simply because they do not know Urdu.

This very thought inspired me to write this book. I wanted Punjabi readers to feel the spiritual essence of Majaz’s ghazals and poems just as I have felt them. This is not merely a translation of words, but an attempt to give a new life in Punjabi to Majaz’s emotions, his rebellious spirit, and the true fragrance of his poetry.

Punjabi, in itself, is a literary treasure. By presenting Majaz’s poetry in Punjabi, I have tried to build a bridge between the worlds of Urdu and Punjabi literature.
