Dr. Avijit Lahiri is a renowned teacher and researcher in physics. He has taught at college and university levels, and published numerous research articles in international peer-reviewed journals. His publications cover a wide area in theoretical and mathematical physics. Dr. Lahiri has lectured widely on a large number of topics in physics and general science before specialists as also before students and teachers with less specialized interest. He is the sole author of a number of books in physics and philosophy of science, all uniformly appreciated by readers in the respective subject areas. His recent publications include a reference book on Optics, published by Elsevier. He is currently engaged in the writing of a major work on equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics.
