The Author is a celebrated Civil and Structural engineer who has published numerous books on the subject. He was a guest lecturer at many UK Universities. His books have been published by Blackwell science in UK. He has spent most of his working life in UK gaining experience in the design of nuclear facilities, bridges, steel plants, multi-storied houses, water supply projects etc. He retired as a Director of a prestigious consulting engineering firm in UK. After retirement he spends a substantial part of his time in India and acts as part time consultant to the industry.
