Gajendra Moksha is a renowned episode from the Srimad Bhagavata Purana that illustrates the power of true devotion and complete surrender to God. Gajendra, the king of elephants, was once caught by a mighty crocodile while bathing in a lake. A long struggle followed, but despite his strength, Gajendra became helpless and realized that worldly power could not save him.

In utter surrender, he remembered his devotion from a previous life and offered a heartfelt prayer to Lord Vishnu, holding a lotus in his trunk. Moved by Gajendra’s pure and selfless devotion, Lord Vishnu appeared instantly on Garuda, freed Gajendra from the crocodile, and granted him liberation. The crocodile was also released from a curse and attained salvation.

This sacred episode conveys that sincere prayer, humility, and total faith in God lead to divine grace and ultimate liberation.

गजेन्द्र की निष्काम भक्ति से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान विष्णु गरुड़ पर सवार होकर प्रकट हुए, उन्हें ग्राह के बंधन से मुक्त किया और मोक्ष प्रदान किया। इस कथा का संदेश है कि सच्चे मन से की गई प्रार्थना और पूर्ण समर्पण से भगवान की कृपा अवश्य प्राप्त होती है।
