Concrete is one of the most important materials of construction. Durability of structures depends upon the quality of concrete which includes selection of appropriate aggregates their batching proportioning mixing transportation placement and curing. Therefore it is of paramount importance for engineers and technicians to understand the properties and procedure of testing such properties which govern the strength and quality of concrete. This laboratory manual deals mainly with the testing of various ingredients and concrete as per BIS specifications. The manual besides testing aggregates cement and concrete also deals with various non-destructive testing techniques.
