Description
This introductory chapter establishes the fundamental framework for understanding the
convergence of electric vehicle technology and artificial intelligence systems. The chapter
explores the evolutionary trajectory of electric vehicles from their historical origins to
contemporary implementations, examining how artificial intelligence has become an integral
component of modern electric vehicle architecture. We present a comprehensive analysis of
the basic structural components that define electric vehicle systems, followed by an in-depth
examination of AI integration methodologies and their transformative impact on vehicle
performance, efficiency, and user experience. The chapter further provides a comparative
analysis between AI-enhanced electric vehicles and conventional electric vehicle systems,
highlighting the technological advantages and operational improvements achieved through
intelligent system integration. Finally, we examine global market dynamics, regulatory
frameworks, and the challenges that shape the current landscape of AI-based electric vehicle
development and deployment.
