Ashwini, first nakshatra in the series of nakshatras indicates the new beginning which emanates from its Lord Ketu, the storehouse of one’s Karmik accounts. Ketu has the power of rejuvenation and regeneration is akin to the phoenix rising from the ashes. Jesus, the Christian God, got resurrected after three days of his crucifixion. The principal deity of this nakshatra Lord Ganesha whose head was severed by Lord Shiva was brought back to life by replacing his head with head of a baby elephant.
