It was a flourishing a civilization comparable to other civilisations.It may not be the oldest civilisation in the world or even in the indian subcontinet as the Tamil enthusiastics will like us to believe . but it had a glorious past in which in which it had extensive network of foreign trade through the seas and in land commerce . Though the it is being repeatedly dinned in to us “ that valour and love are twin eyes of the tamil people . commerce trade industry seems to have better record than the other two.
