Pediatric mainly refers to children, and it's important to screen the vision in children. For the
children's visual development, academic achievement, and day-to-day life, an early detection
of visual disorders is crucial. Despite their effectiveness, traditional paediatric vision screening
techniques are constrained by their dependence on optometrist competence, accessibility, and
child cooperation. The last decade has witnessed remarkable innovations that have included
smartphone-enabled applications, artificial intelligence-driven analysis, and instrument-based
screening. The potential of emerging technologies to transform paediatric vision care in the
community and at schools is highlighted in this chapter, along with a comparison of their
diagnostic accuracy with more conventional methods. Technology integration with public
health initiatives for universal, equitable vision screening is prioritised.
