About the Author

Dr. Khurshid Eqbal is a well-known name in Urdu literature. In the early days of the Internet, he gained world fame by creating India's first website in Urdu language, urdudost.com. On the same website, he started publication of Urdu's first online monthly magazine "Kainaat" which continued for 16 consecutive years. In 2010, he published a translation collection of African short stories in Urdu language under the name "Ek Shab-e-Awargi", which was awarded by the Urdu Academies of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Ten years later, he has presented the Hindi translation of the same stories in the name of "Udaan".
