The author has written the history of a Virk middle-class family of two hundred years covering eight generations with family having ancestral roots in Chhapa, Lahore (Pakistan). The family has suffered the pain and agony of the partition of India and Pakistan and becomes refugees in their own country of India in 1947. It took two decades for the family to get a foothold after suffering the pain of partition.
The author has covered the brief history of the Sikh Empire and the Sikh Community and Virk Jat Sikh family. The author has shared the lifetime experience related to human relationships, health, education, parenting, motivation, and a number of thought-provoking experiences.
The book is a tribute to the parents and forefathers. The family is presently settled at Patti Multani, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Numbers of family members have achieved a good position in society in India and few of them migrated to Canada, the USA and Australia.
