The story begins in West Bengal . The Maoist are fighting against the oppressive establishment for their right to land and food. While people are distracted with donkeys let loose in the town , the famous Meher Aabad (a Parsee member of the Maoist group ) sneaks into the Alipore Central jail disguised as a pandit and escapes with two of his fellow Maoist, Pratap and Charanjit( a highly qualified banker).
The CM of West Bengal assigns Mr. A.Biswas (Chief of COBRA—Combat Battalion for Resolute Action) to find and kill Meher Aabad. Biswas has his own reasons for killing the Maoist; he vowed revenge after his wife and unborn child were killed in a Naxal demonstration years before.
Meher Aabad is reflecting upon his life as a Maoist. How by helping the poor he got drubbed as one of them. His father and mother are murdered by the police force and his sister raped before killing her. This becomes the turning point in his life from just being an ideologue of the poor to becoming a part of their struggle and who vows revenge.
During his struggle Meher Aabad meets Tina the daughter of the biggest Parsee industrialist and a
relationship develops.
Re: MAOISM--AN UNENDING WAR
The novel Maoism -An Unending War by Mehernosh Kapadia is excellently written. It is a certain page turner and hard hitting to the political class and the industrialists.
The novel is fast paced and does not lack entertainment value.
