Everybody is familiar with Mahabharata epic. There are many characters involved in the epic. Generally we all know about the main characters of this story. It also has many hidden characters who are not mentioned much in the story. Most of these are female characters. The story mainly revolves around the male characters. It can be seen from the epic that female characters were neglected or given less importance due to the male dominated society during the Mahabharata period. Vrushali is one of them. She is the first wife of the great archer Karna. Karna is a close friend of Prince Duryodhana and an opponent of Arjuna. Everyone knows that Duryodhana is one of the Kauravas and Arjuna is one of the Pandavas and that they have enmity. Karna knows that he is not the biological son of Radha and Adhirath, he was found in the river Ganga and adopted by them. Adhirath was a charioteer in Hastinapur. From childhood he was searching his real parents, but failed. Vrushali was trying repeatedly to get him out of this misery. During his education, he was often humiliating by teachers and others as a Charioteer's son. During his education, his teachers and others were constantly humiliating him as a Charioteer's son. He was always made aware that he could never be equal to the prince. They were putting many obstacles in his progress to prevent him from becoming more proficient than a prince. In such a sad situation, Vaishali was giving him mental support, calming his mind and pulling him out of depression. Her role is very important in Karna's life.
