Satya Gopal Sarkar (November 25, 1915 - January 08, 2000) was a Bengali writer who wrote mostly for children. Many of his stories and poems were published in well-known Bengali children's magazines, including "Sandesh", "Shishusathi", "Randhanu", and "Jajabor". Several of his books for children were published after his death. These include "Jiban Kathi" (roopkatha or fantasy adventure), "Bhromorer Chokhe Jol" (collection of poems), “Ramdhanu” (collection of poems), and ”Teenranga” (collection of poetry, drama, and short stories).

Hemanta Sarkar is a writer and science editor. He has edited and published several books written by his father, Satya Gopal Sarkar. He has also self-published a collection of Bengali poems. He is a former scientist and professor.
